Toia Jones is an American R&B singer, born in the city of Montgomery/Alabama, in the United States. She performed with the R&B great Fantasia, entertained the public alongside Blues artist Peggy Scott-Adams, currently touring and performing with Southern Soul artist Bigg Robb. She owns a band called Toia Jones & LyriQ. that mixes several genres of Southern Soul, Rhythm & Blues and Country music with Rock and Hip-Hop to form its own unique style of Popular Music. From covers to the studio remake of "Tonight I Wanna Cry" by Keith Urban and his original songs like "Do What You Do" and "Mad or Nah". Recently, Toia beat out over 50,000 people to go to Los Angeles, CA to try out for NBC’s hit reality television show The Voice. When she got there, she found herself up against another 100 for a spot on the show. Once narrowed, only 48 were chosen to showcase their talent before judges in a blind audition. Toia made "The Blinds" and sang Adelle’s “One and Only” with both Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams turning their chairs for her. After her infamous “Battle Round” performance of Beyonce’s “Halo”, she eventually earned an “I Want You” from Gwen Steffani as well. Throughout the show Toia was vocally coached by Pharrell Williams, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Taylor Swift. It didn’t take long for them to notice the strength and power she displays - which earned her the moniker “Alabama Powerhouse”. Conversely, all came full circle during Toia’s final round when Blake Shelton admitted “I didn’t steal her because as a coach I simply don’t have anything to offer her”. Toia proved to millions while on The Voice, performing yet another Beyonce’s song “Crazy In Love”- give her a mic, turn the beat up, and she will set the stage ablaze! Toia is currently in the studio and is excited to be working on new material to deliver to her loyal and expanding audience; such as her soon to be released single “Mad or Nah”. All the while, still holding press interviews and doing guest appearances from her stint on The Voice. She’s appeared on NBC affiliate WSFA and has been featured in the Montgomery Advertiser newspaper (among others). She has received radio airplay and has guest appeared on various radio stations throughout the South Eastern U.S. Toia has also received acknowledgment from a host of websites throughout the world wide web such as Peoplemagazine, Essence, and Hulu.
