Об исполнителе:
Born in Italy on March 30th, 1956, Flavio Bonometti began studying violin at the Brescia Conservatory at the age of 17 —far behind the norm for this instrument—. After three years, he was fortunate enough to be admitted to maestro Osvaldo Scilla's violin class at the Conservatorio di Milano. After finishing his studies, he perfected his viola skills with maestro Armando Burattin, first viola at La Scala in Milan, and began playing with the orchestra Toscanini in Parma, Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali and the Orchestra Sinfonica Di Milano Della RAI. In 1986 he joined the Orchestra Del Teatro Alla Scala under the direction of maestro Riccardo Muti. At the Milan Conservatory, he also studied composition with Maestro Rotondi and furthered his studies with maestro Franco Donatoni. He carried out an intense concert activity in the chamber group Nuova Arcadia in Milan. After abandoning his profession as a violinist around 2005, Bonometti has devoted himself solely to composition. Today he resides in the province of Brescia with his wife Caterina, his dog Janine (in homage to Jansen), and his goats Clara (Schumann) and Viktoria (Mulova).
