American composer (born February 15, 1910 in Auburn, NY – died June 14, 1982 in Riverside, CA) The son of a Romanian-American jeweler, Davidson grew up in Syracuse, NY. In 1932, he graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Business Administration. Under his pen name Jay Milton, Davidson co-wrote several popular songs with Barry Niesen and Harold Lawrence (2) in the late 1930s, namely "Shame On You" (May 1937), "Little Lad" (August 1937), "Down Stream" (December 1937), and "Gardenias" (November 1938). With Barry Niesen and Jerry Kanner. he published "The Key To My Heart" (May 1937). In 1941, he wrote "That's My Way Of Saying I Love You" with Robert Levinson; in 1945 "A Dream A Day Keeps The Blues Away." Among even later songs that were recorded is "Your Heart Is Breaking My Heart" (1962).
