American guitarist, singer, and songwriter from Louisiana. He played a variety of styles with his bands, including swamp pop, rock & roll, rhythm & blues, disco, and soul. In addition to guitar, he could also play piano, bass, organ, drums, and accordion. Janise started his career very young, and by the age of six, Janise was singing with a house band at the Big Oaks dance club in Vinton, Louisiana, and had recorded two songs, "Betty Jean" and "My Pretty Baby". At the age of nine, in 1960, he formed his own band, Little Kenny And The Rhythm Makers. The band stayed together for more than 20 years. He later founded Little Kenny and the Heartbreakers.
