Kesselberg Ensemble

The ensemble was founded in Basel in 2004 by Latvian musicians, all graduates of the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, under the direction of Ilze Grudule. The name refers to the district of Riga where Johann Gottfried Müthel, Latvia's most famous composer of the 18th century and J.S. Bach's last pupil, lived.
