Manuel María Gutiérrez Flores

Costa Rican musician, composer and military man (Heredia, September 1, 1829 - San José, December 25, 1887). He is the author of the music for the National Anthem of Costa Rica, whose first performance took place at midnight on June 11, 1852. He is also the author of the music of the "Patriótica costarricense" (=Costa Rican Patriotic).
