Swedish music producer and audio engineer, born August 4, 1946 in Filipstad. He discovered and launched, among others, Louise Hoffsten, The Refreshments, Maria Marcus and was also behind Carola Häggkvist's return to the music industry in 1990 when she participated in Melodifestivalen and came in second place. The following year, Carola won both the Swedish Melodifestivalen and the Eurovision Song Contest in Rome with Stephan Berg's song "Fångad Av En Stormvind". In 1997, Hans Larsson was also responsible for the winner of the Swedish Melodifestivalen with the group Blond, as in the case of Carola, Stephan Berg was the composer of the winning entry "Bara Hon Älskar Mig". Hans Larsson has received more than 50 gold & platinum records and is also an honorary citizen of Memphis, Tennessee, USA. Hans Larsson began his career in the music industry 1971 -1981 as a representative for Grammofon AB Electra (RCA, Decca, Warner, MCA, Tamla Motown). In 1982, Hans Larsson together with Owe Midner started the record company Mill Records AB and acquired the record company SweDisc AB and in 1986 started Rival International AB (record label and publisher). In 1991, Larsson and Midner sold the companies to BMG Sweden AB and were employed as A&R managers. In 1999, Hans Larsson left BMG Sweden AB and formed the record company Darrow Entertainment AB, the music publisher Access To Arrow Music AB and continued the activities of Rival Management AB (which he started already 1991 as a management company for Louise Hoffsten and Carola). The first disc released on the new record label Darrow was The Refreshments CD "Are You Ready" which sold gold and contained the hit "Miss You Miss Belinda". In collaboration with EMI/Norway in the same year, he was executive producer for the production "O Helga Natt" with Tommy Körberg and the Oslo Gospel Choir which sold gold & platinum in Norway. Hans Larsson has worked with artists and authors such as Carola, Louise Hoffsten, The Refreshments, Blond, Tommy Körberg, John Holm, Eva Eastwood, Nejra, Dave Edmunds, Frankie Miller, Wendel Adkins, Warren Haynes, Dennis Robbins, Black Ingvars, Jerry Jeff Walker, Steve Young, Jerry Lynn Williams, Linda Gail Lewis, Johan "JB" Blohm, Fatboy, Henrik Åberg, Jack Baymoore, Maria Marcus, Brolle and more. Hans Larsson runs the companies Rival Management, which publishes DVD/Film and works with concert operations, the record company Darrow Entertainment and the music publisher Access To Arrow Music.
