DJ Yanay began his career in the mid-1990s, more precisely in 1996, after studying voiceover in 1994 at the School of the Talkers Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), and then began working as a DJ in FMs. As extinct RVP 100.9 FM (1996), Realce FM 105.9 (1997), Lusa FM 100.1 (1997), Alternativa FM 105.9 (1998), Leopoldina FM 107.9 (1999) and Independência FM 100.1 (2000). These radios he presented, produced and mixed program called Underground Beat. Due to excellent effect of your program on both radios, and the great creativity with which he presented the program in the same year (1996) was eventually invited to join the hitherto unknown group called B.U.M. (Brazilian Underground Movement). Group pioneered the dissemination of Underground Electronic Music in Rio nights. Also in 1996/7, the B.U.M. launches its first EP album called R2 releasing on 12 inch vinyl, with extremely limited copies. This vinyl record came to be playing on the radio program New Trends RPC FM. With the release of this EP, the group (BUM) takes off once, and their parties begin to pass the night in Rio de Janeiro, making the group began to appear several times in magazines and newspapers of that period, such as the famous magazine Sound and DJ in supplement Rio Fanzine (1986-2010) edited into the second book of the newspaper O Globo. In 1997, coincidi with the popularization of the musical genre called Drum & Bass, which was already doing very well in the European alternative scene, mainly in England. This musical genre from the year 1997, just having a great response in some nightclubs in São Paulo Brazil as clubs Hells, Love and large commercial FMs as Power 97 FM. With the arrival of this rhythm to Rio lands, DJ Yanay eventually becoming one of the first to play Drum & Bass night in Rio de Janeiro, through philanthropic parties that the group B.U.M. performed monthly in the suburbs and also in alternative FMs through the aforementioned Underground Beat program.
