Antonio Lara de Gavilán, known as 'Tono' (Jaén, September 22, 1896 - Madrid, January 4, 1978), was a Spanish writer (playwright, novelist, screenwriter, librettist...), humorist, cartoonist and occasional lyricist belonging to the generation of 27 or more exactly to the so-called Other Generation of 27. He worked in Paris and Hollywood and in different humoristic magazines: "Buen Humor", "Gutiérrez", "La Ametralladora", "La Codorniz" and "Don José", among many others. He also collaborated with Miguel Mihura, Jorge Llopis and Edgar Neville.
