Об исполнителе:
Swedish composer and musician, born 1980. His music has been described by the New York Times as "dazzling" and by the Los Angeles Times as "an odd merger of Bartók and Radiohead". He has a penchant for odd instrument combinations, which can be seen in works such as Grind for two ukuleles, Melodica Madness for eight melodicor, hi-hat and bass, and Symphonies of Toy Instruments for ten multi-instrumentalists, who all deal with different toy instruments. In the hour-long work Recreated Effects, Fabian redefines the concept of "violin concerto", and lets the violin soloist be backed by two soprano recorders, two melodicor, six electric guitars, two electric basses and timpani. Fabian has worked with ensembles such as Calder Quartet and grammy-awarded Eighth Blackbird in the USA, Sentieri Selvaggi in Italy, Ensemble Klang in the Netherlands and Stockholm's saxophone quartet at home. His music has been played in everything from obscure garages to the Sydney Opera House, and has been presented at festivals such as Stockholm New Music, Gaudeamus, MATA, SONiC, Carlsbad Music Festival and ISCM World New Music Days.
