Mr. Wix

Dutch-Surinamese DJ from Amsterdam, North Holland, the Netherlands. Starting in the mid-nineties as a DJ spinning mostly hip-hop and r&b, but also house, breakbeat and dub sounds, Mr. Wix got his break through in 1999 when he became the resident DJ at Paradiso's now cult monthly hip-hop event "Bassline". A year later he launched "Chocolate" at club Off Corso in Rotterdam and "Knock Out" at Melkweg in Amsterdam. In 2007 he formed The Parra Soundsystem, together with critically acclaimed visual artist Piet Parra at the Paris Paris nightclub where they host "The Baguette Frappant" together. He is the International music consultant for both Nike and G-Star Raw. He is also well known for various mixtapes and mix-CD's, as well as being the DJ and co-host for VPRO's national radio show' 3voor12XL'.
