Inteam (formerly In-Team) is a Malaysian nasyid group. The group presented nasyid songs in Malay, English and Arabic. Inteam was introduced through the song "Kasih Kekasih" around 2000 under the management of Hijjaz Records. The group, alongside with UNIC, Aeman and Mestica were also under the same label. The group was established in January 1998 when its original members began studying at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Matriculation Center. At that time, they were members of a group called "Husaini" and often held nasyid performances at the university. From there, they were proposed by the Hijjaz group to become Hijjaz Music Entertainment patrons. After they signed a contract with Hijjaz Records on September 25, 2000, they tried to brand their group with various names. Finally, they choose In-Team as their group name because that name is more varied and has two meanings in Malay and English. In English, In-Team means "in group" and its Malay translation, "intim" means "very close". After choosing the name, they released their first album entitled Kasih Kekasih in 2000, published by Hijjaz Records and distributed by NAR Records. From then, they continued to release albums under the aforementioned labels until they opened their own recording company, Inteam Records Sdn. Bhd. in 2005. At this time, they have also changed their group name to "Inteam" (omitting the dash) following one of the members' resignation from the group, Suhaimi Saad.
