Frits Philips Band

A Dutch live rock band, consisting of: Frits Sibille - vocals, harmonica, cowbell, tambourin. Frank van Grootel - guitar and vocals. Peter v.d. Elsen - guitar and vocals. Hans Mol - bass. Peter v.d. Beek - drums. On their self-titled album, also Theo Pols plays bass on selected tracks. The band leader is Frits Sibille. While working at Philips in Eindhoven, he would pick up the phone with the words "Met Frits, Philips". This is Dutch for "Frits of the company Philips speaking", but it can also be understood as "Frits Philips speaking". Frits Philips is a famous member of the Philips family that founded the multinational and he was loved in his hometown of Eindhoven, Nertherlands. This has led to the band name 'Frits Philips Band'.
