Canadian gospel and country songwriter. Born March 11, 1924 Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada Died: September 27, 2019 Oromocto, New Brunswick, Canada. She composed her first poem at the age of 10 for a school Christmas play. Her most famous song “The Rose Upon The Bible”, which she co-wrote with Betty Syme, was first recorded by Stu Davis 1956. She has written over 500 gospel songs and hymns. She was inducted into the New Brunswick Country Music Hall of Fame in 1984 and into the Minto Country Music Wall of Fame in 2001 as well as the New Brunswick Gospel Music Hall of Fame. She has used many pseudonyms through the years, including Kitty-Kennedy, Geraldine (Kitty) Copeland, Gerry Copeland and Geraldine Kennedy-Copeland. Publishing: SOCAN IPI #: 6733698
