Nikita Vladimirovich Bogoslovsky - Soviet and Russian composer. May 22, 1913 in Saint-Petersburg, Russian Empire – April 4, 2004 in Moscow, Russia. As a schoolboy he took lessons from Alexander Glazunov (1926-1928). In 1930, Bogoslovsky entered the Leningrad Conservatory composition class (external studies), graduating in 1934. He wrote music for 52 drama performances; 58 feature films and roughly 200 songs. As a conductor, Bogoslovsky performed in Russia and abroad. Bogoslovsky won many awards and honorary titles.
