Marilena Solomou

Born in South Africa, Marilena Solomou showed her musical interest and talent at an early age. She started her musical studies as a pianist and she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Music specialized in performing (singing) and piano accompaniment, at Anglia Polytechnic University in Cambridge UK. She has a piano diploma from the Greek Conservatory of Athens with Distinction and the Licentiate Diploma in Music Performance (Singing) from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Honours. Since her return in Cyprus she has been a concert singer and has given numerous recitals and concerts in major concert halls in Cyprus, Greece, Romania and Mexico. Marilena Solomou has passed away in 16/08/09 at the age of 35 due to cancer
