Katarina Fritzén

Katarina Fritzén, born 27 May, 1946 in Stockholm, Sweden, is a Swedish flautist and musical pedagogue. She used to be a member of a member of Fred Åkerström's Trio CMB as well as the all-female, Latin flavoured jazz rock quartet Tintomara, and she appeared on albums with Ralph Lundsten, Berit Andersson and Lena Ekman. She was also on the 1974 Tjejclown album. She's also written lots of music sheets and a schoolbook in four parts for flautists. Katarina is married to Swedish-American jazz pianist and composer Steve Dobrogosz, with whom she has a son, the jazz pianist, keyboardist and composer Jonathan Fritzen.
