Cappella Ludovicea Roma

The Ludovicea Chapel is the official musical structure of the Pious Establishments of France in Rome and Loreto, established under the High Patronage of the French Embassy to the Holy See. From the careful cultural sensitivity of France, the need arose to found a Musical Chapel with a permanent Orchestra at the Church of Trinità dei Monti with the aim of animating the liturgical service throughout the year with the great sixteenth-century and contemporary polyphonic repertoire, to preside over all the official French ceremonies at the Vatican Basilicas of San Pietro and San Giovanni and to perform, in a prestigious concert season, the great repertoire of Italian, French and sacred music with a broad historical-musical vision, European. The attention and care in the choice in the execution of the sacred repertoire and the concert activity that has distinguished the Ludovicea Chapel over the years has created the conditions for the Eurispes International Research Institute to place it among the "One hundred Italian Excellencies in the World" joining the applause of music criticism. The soloists, the master singers and the orchestra professors who form the ensemble of the Ludovicea Chapel stand out for their specific studies and boast collaborations with the prestigious bodies of the Italian territory (Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, San Carlo Theater of Naples, Regio Theater of Parma). The ensemble has been directed since its foundation by Maestro Ildebrando Mura, former Organist of the Basilica of San Marco al Campidoglio and Maestro di Cappella for musical training.
