Composer of the 'Punjaub' March which is British in style and composition and whose title is suggestive of the British Raj in India and its sound is that of Queen Victoria's Army. However, Charles Payne had become an American citizen by the time of its first publication in the U.S.A. in 1893. A copyright renewal appears in the 1920 Catalogue of Copyright Entries, third series. The march appears on 78 in the Regal Zonophone catalogue for 1922.
