Rob Nilsson

Rob Nilsson (b. 29 October 1939, Rhinelander, Wisconsin) is an American independent film director, poet and painter. Nilsson received numerous accolades throughout his career, including "Camera d'Or" at the Cannes Film Festival for the 1979 feature film Northern Lights and Sundance Film Festival's Grand Jury prize for the '88 Heat and Sunlight. In 1990, Rob Nilsson directed and filmed 15592187, a documentary produced by David Donohue and Windmill Lane in Ireland, which followed John Cale and Brian Eno across the Netherlands, Russia, Wales and the UK as they worked on the music album based on the poetry of Dylan Thomas.
