Antonia Steyn

Antonia graduated from the University of Cape Town on the Dean’s merit list in 2000 and began working to establish herself in photography. In 2005 she became a full time professional photographer and in 2007 was awarded Media 24 Photographer of the Year for her work with Pieter-Dirk Uys. In 2008 her shoot with Eugene Terre Blanche won her an ABSA L’Atelier Merit Award. Her photographs appeared on 4 album covers of South African pop star Ike Moriz from 2009-2010. Her Triptych “Steyn & De Villiers” won the Vuleka Art Award 2011 and she was selected as one of the Mail & Guardian 200 Young South Africans 2011. Untitled (Eugene Terre Blanche) forms part of the Sasol, Oliewenshuis and South African National Gallery permanent collections.
