Independent artist from New Zealand. I R I S is a singer / songwriter / multi-instrumentalist musician / producer and actress, born in Auckland, 1998. Having a natural talent for singing and playing guitar, keyboard, drums and bass, I R I S regularly busked from the age of ten. Winning a trip to Japan in a “Play It Strange” songwriting competition in 2016 broadened her horizons and goals. Attending Massey University in Wellington, she performed at local bars and taught herself production in Logic. In 2018 she hopped on a flight to Los Angeles. After working with various collaborators, she linked up with producer and director, Charles Lutman. Together they established their own record label : "Planet Light".
