Cosimo And The Hot Coals

Cosimo and the Hot Coals is a 6-piece italian jazz band that offers a repertoire that spans from New Orleans Jazz tradition to 10s and 20s Hot Jazz. The band is led by cornetist, trumpeter and singer Cosimo Pignataro who’s accompanied by his five Hot Coals: Martin Di Pietro (piano), Stefano Della Grotta (guitar & banjo), Mirko Boles (doublebass), Giovanni Amodeo (clarinet), and Michele Capasso (drums). They perform in jazz clubs, festivals and swing dance events all over the world. Lindy hop dancers and music lovers get off on their music, a music that seems to have the power to reach and warm every kind of people from the feet to the heart. Following the first two albums, "Louisiana Dreaming" (2018) and "Speakeasy ... A Lockdown Session" (2021), in 2022 the band released its third album, “Mississippi Journal”, establishing a new partnership with Milan based music label Overdrive Srl. The album, driven by the lovely single “Elena”, gained numerous praises all around the world, especially in Central and North America. The band is considered among the new Italian swing and jazz stars and worldwide recognized on TikTok and Instagram, with more than 20 milions views and appreciations from world-renowned artists like Michael Bublé.
