Georgevič started his operatic career in 1936 at the Zagreb Opera in the title role in Andrea Chénier opposite Zinka Milanov as Maddalena, followed by other roles in that theatre. He also sang in 1938 at the Milan Festival, alternating with Gigli as Chénier. He subsequently appeared in Italy where he sung leading roles in Tosca, La Bohème, Rigoletto, Il Trovatore and Andrea Chénier. In 1948 the tenor recorded an album for Decca/London consisting of six operatic arias.
