Aage Snedevig

Danish early radio and recording enthusiast with own shellac recording facilities (also mobile) and record company/label Foba-Film-Tone based in his home at Hvilevej 10 in Hellerup, Copenhagen from the late 1930's. Died in 1989. Aage Snedevig was originally named Aage Schnedevig but used the Snedevig spelling officially from the early 1950's. Snedevig recorded more than 1700 'private' shellac records for individuals and companies and was famed in Denmark for his recording of the BBC radio announcement, May 4, 1945, that the German troops had surrendered to Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery.
