Об исполнителе:
DJ most notable for her major New York City club and Fire Island Pines appearances. Morabito avoids the recognized hits and diva vocals and focuses on her personal edits and interests in European progressive house, trance, tribal and undergound domestic house sounds. She grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and in 1982 began her journey as a DJ in the club scene, relocating to New York City in 1987. In 1991 she became the resident DJ at the Pavilion, a New York City gay community beach resort located in the Fire Island Pines and continued spinning there for many summers. This residency led to gigs back in the city, around the nation and in Europe. In March 2003, she was the first woman to play at the Saint-at-Large annual Black Party. Since then, she has played virtually every club in New York City: Twilo, Roxy, Sound Factory, Limelight/Avalon, Exit, Octagon, Palladium, Discotheque, Cielo and SBNY. In addition to the Black Party, she has played various Saint-at-Large circuit party events such as the White Party, Halloween, New Years Eve and the Sleaze Ball. Her appearances are not limited to just the club scene and is a well sought-after social events DJ in the New York City fashion, film, art and social scenes. Morabito has provided music for the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute's 2001 Benefit Gala and major events for the Museum Of Modern Art and the American Ballet Theater. In 2004, Morabito released her seventh continuously mixed CD, Blue Ball, Volume 3 on the Centaur Music, Inc. label.
