Teacher Boateng

Kofi Boateng (M.N. Boateng) known as Teacher Boateng was born at Obo Kwahu, Ghana. In Accra that he joined Jerry Ofori, a brother to T.O. Jazz to improve upon his skills on the guitar and other musical instruments, later joined the Great Landers Guitar Band which was based at Mamobi. He realised he had gained enough experience after performing with them for some months, he decided to resign and formed his own band Two Brothers Band. The band could not stand the test of time due to the lack of instruments and was dissolved. He perform for the African Brothers Band for about three years, later he recorded two of his hit albums, around 1974. He formed Teacher & His Africana in 1974.
