Михаил Дейнеко

Mikhail Deyneko was an operatic singer (bass), and a leading soloist of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet theatre (1964-1965, 1975-1994). Born: October 6, 1937, Volokonovka village, Valuysky district, Voronezh region, USSR - Died: April 28, 1994, Novosibirsk, Russian Federation. In 1964, he graduated from the Tchaikovsky Moscow state Conservatory. A magnificent voice, full, noble and powerful, combined with excellent professional training, along with his artistic gift and bright stage presence, allowed Mikhail Deineko to create a gallery of memorable images on the Siberian stage: Boris Godunov, Pimen ("Boris Godunov" by Mussorgsky), Dosifey ("Khovanshchina" by Mussorgsky), Gremin ("Eugene Onegin" by Tchaikovsky), Mephistopheles ("Faust" by Gounod), Archbishop ("The Maid of Orleans" by Tchaikovsky), King of Egypt, Ramphis ("Aida" by Verdi), Miller ("Rusalka" by Dargomyzhsky), Konchak ("Prince Igor" by Borodin), Snarafucile ("Rigoletto" by Verdi), Don Basilio ("The Barber of Seville" by Rossini), King Rene ("Iolanta" by Tchaikovsky), Lodovico ("Othello" by Verdi), Surin ("The Queen of Spades" by Tchaikovsky), Sobakin ("The Tsar's bride" by Rimsky-Korsakov) , etc. He performed on the stages of Bolshoi and Leningrad Maly Opera theaters, in Israel, Egypt, and Germany. Awarded the title of Honoured Artist of the RSFSR by the soviet regime (15 June 1987).
