Tim Mitchell musician based in San Franciso. Tim grew up in the heart of the old Silicon Valley where he learned to love technology and hate the suburbs. He was introduced to music at a young age and since then has gone on to play in several bands. Pinq was a band formed fairly soon after Tim arrived in San Francisco in 1996. The other two band members were Ben Montesano and Greg Bertens, co-workers of Tim's at the time, who later went on to form the band Film School . Pinq put out one EP of 8 songs called “Quiet Games for Hot Weather“, did one tour, and played a lot locally in San Francisco. In 2002 the band had a change of line up and decided to reform as The Decoration. The Decoration: The Band put out one album, played some shows and otherwise had a good time of it. Tim's current band is a vintage metal outfit called Hot Fog, Hot Fog is a San Francisco Hard Rock and Heavy Metal band born from the ashes of a slew of SF bands spanning the 90’s through the 00’s including Oranger, Film School, Hammerdown Turpentine, Pinq, Carlos!, and Preston School of Industry.
