Об исполнителе:
Antonio Giorri - singer (Born: Villacidro, Italy 1934 - Died: Sydney, Australia 1999). As a boy he was a cantor in the parishes of the town. In 1950 he created a musical ensemble with his friends with him as singer. He began studying music, playing guitar, violin, piano and private singing lessons. His repertoire ranged from the chamber music, Neapolitan songs and Sardinian-Campidanese folk music. The writer Giuseppe Dessì took an interest in him and tried to put him on a tour with Walter Chiari, introducing him to various entertainers. Antonion, however, became nostalgic for his native land and his singing studies and returned to Sardinia. He recorded about 10 discs of Italian, Neapolitan and Sardinian songs. In 1969 he emigrated to Australia where he continued his activity as a singer for another 30 years. In 1999, struck by a heart attack, he died. When the body was transferred to his own country, it was greeted with great condolences by all fellow citizens.
