The Rotating Leslies

Equipoise is the title of the only release to date from this highly atmospheric, groove-oriented band. It's a gorgeous, psychedelic journey the band shoves the listener into, with all sorts of Eastern influences merging with Western ones, then delicately wrapped with experimental electronic and acoustic textures. With its release, Equipoise appeared on several local year end top 10 lists in the NW region, and its beginning track "Awake" was included in a film soundtrack. Parts of this same song still appear on various shows on Discovery, History and Learning channels. After hundreds of live shows over a 7-8 year stretch, a much needed break by Jeff Dood and the Leslies in 2004 eventually evolved into an indefinite hiatus. Although Equipoise was their only official album, dozens of new songs were written and performed at shows in the years following it's release, but unfortunately never made it onto a subsequent album. - From ReverbNation
