Von Bingen (n.) – (a.) the brand under which individual members Daniel Presnell, Jenni Pace, Joshua Stevenson, and Rick Smith collaborate in the interests of sound creation, community engagement, and artistic production; (b.) the title of the band’s first LP, issued on Amen Absen in 2009; (c.) a homage and reference to Hildegard Von Bingen, 12th century artist, composer, healer, and mystic; (d.) translated from the German to mean of, or from, the town of Bingen.
