Swedish singer, poet, painter and songwriter, who was born on January 28, 1938 in Linköping and died on September 19, 2021 in Saltsjöbaden. He released several albums and has written hundreds of songs, including "Barfotavisan" and "Baggenslåten". Collaborations have been made with, among others, Håkan Hellström, Alexander Rybak and Linda Pira. He studied the history of ideas and also art history at Stockholm University. He made his debut in 1961 at Nalen in Stockholm and then appeared in restaurants all over Sweden, from Malmö to Luleå, between the years 1962 and 1965. In 1962, he recorded his first gramophone record, En Vårballad, on Sonet. After a meeting with Lulu Ziegler in Copenhagen in 1964, he also began writing songs for her. Before his death in 2006, Philip Keith Nelson translated many of Paulson's lyrics into English.
