Danny G (11)

Danny G is a musician from Texas, known for guitar and bass. He was born in Norfolk, Virginia and lived there from 1974 to 1985. In 1989, he and his family settled in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he played guitar in punk bands Mad Taxi and Front Lawn Revolution and released music on his label Brainrot Records. In January 2000, Danny G moved to Austin, Texas. Later that year, he was one of the founding members of stoner rock band Southern Gun Culture. This group disbanded in 2004. Following this, Danny G played bass in rock band Velvet Brick and guitar with Shandon Sahm. In 2006 he left Velvet Brick to play guitar in the band Ironclad. He also spent time playing bass with Texas country group Ryan Bales Band. After Ironclad split in 2007, Danny G joined The Mother Truckers on bass. He has also worked as a studio/session musician and played bass/guitar with the Eric Tessmer Band, The Figurados, Dead Oak, Stanley Man, Rick Hornyak, Thunderosa, Dancyr, Deann Rene Band, Forever Town, Cheetah Chrome, Bleu Edmondson, Planet Casper, and Adrian And The Sickness.
