Bernard Lesfargues

Bernard Lesfargues (Bernat Lesfargas in Occitan) 1924-2018, poet, writer, editor from the south-west of France (Périgord), lived mainly in Lyon (France) where he had founded a books store. One of the first pioner of the "Institut d’Études Occitanes" from the beginning in 1945, he had a central role in many french litteratures reviews like "Les Cahiers du Triton Bleu", "Jorn" and in Fédérop editions based in Lyon and then in Périgord. He had been always concerned by federalism, Occitan cultures survival, political involvement and worked all his life to discover and make known occitan and catalan, writers and poets.
