From Volendam, The Netherlands. Sometimes the Volendammer nickname "Bibber" (after his mother's family) is added, and sometimes, but less often, the nickname Snelle (after his father's family). His brother Kees Snoek 'has more of his father's side', and is often called De Snelle.
