Manuel Montes de Oca Y Espejo

Poet and composer. Mexican (Ticul, Yucatán, February 11, 1895 - Mérida, Yucatán, November 16, 1967) Part of his vast production is contained in his poetry books: “Floraciones”, 1952; "Del rosal intimo", 1960 and "Cosas del alma", 1963. He is the author of the verses of "Flor de azahar" musicalized by Santiago Manzanero. With the composer Manolo López Barbeito he wrote“Anhelos del alma”, “Sin corazón”, “Dos luceros”, “El milagro de tus ojos”, “Enséñame a querer”, “A Guty”, ”Aura Marina”, “Despierta”, “Dos ángeles traviesos”, “Madre querida”, “Mater dolorosa”, “Mi cantar”, “Mi consentida” y “Que vuelvas”; with Ricardo Duarte Esquivel.
