Allan Masterton

Allan Masterton wrote the tune for "Willie Brew'd A Peck O' Maut."He was a friend of Robert Burns, the Scots poet with whom he visited William Nicol of the High School in Edinburgh. Nicol had brewed some maut (malt ale.) Burns wrote the words and Masterton the lyrics to celebrate the brew.
