TEMA

This profile is for the first version of TEMA, from 2004-2005 that released the album Prosto Я Фанатка. It was comprised of two girls: Sasha Anokhina and Nastya Kotova. TEMA was created by Maugly Jr., a former rapper turned musical producer, in May 2004. Due to conflicts between the girls themselves, their producer, and the record label, the girls left their producer (Maugly Jr.), afterwards changing their name to DNK, then ТЕ МА and TE MЫ. Since that time, there has been multple rumors surrounding the 2 girls, as well as further name changes, resulting in even more confusion, not to mention their original producer releasing a few songs under the old name after the girls had left, then changing the name of the group to SUPER TEMA. When their single Кто, Если Не Я? was released, the group's management attempted to cash in on t.A.T.u.'s popularity at the time, by starting a rumor that the song was by t.A.T.u. rather than TEMA. After it came out that the song was in fact by TEMA, they apologized for the confusion. TEMA have since reappeared in 2008 under the name Com’ma, with a new producer as well as a 3rd member, along with the announcement that they are working on an album under their new name.
