Russian-born Danish classical pianist (December, 21 1906, Saint Petersburg, – December 2, 1994, Aarhus). Studied piano aged 12 under Надежда Голубовская at Alexander Siloti's school, later studied at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory where she graduated aged 17 in 1924. Married Danish official Karl Ingemund Plesner and moved to Denmark in 1929 and from 1930 began a critically acclaimed career mainly in chamber music. In the early 50's for a while she withdrew from her musical career suffering from neural illness in her hands, but later she reappeared in more private setting, touring with the so called SORU-concerts at hospitals, prissons etc. Mother of baritone singer Peter Werschenskij
