Francesco Zanin II (b. 1956, Codroipo, Udine) is an Italian organ builder and restorer, owner and principal designer of the family workshop, Premiata Fabbrica Organi "Cav. Francesco Zanin," since 1978, which specializes in pipe organs with mechanical transmission. Zanin Organi factory was founded in 1827 by Francesco's great-great-great-grandfather, Valentino Zanin (1797—1887), operated since by his direct descendants. In 1978, Gustavo Zanin (1930—2021), Francesco's father, passed the workshop to him, with core responsibilities including the principal design and harmonization of all instruments. Other notable organ-makers from the family include Franz Zanin (1933—2012), Francesco's first cousin once removed (son of Giuseppe II (1896—1975), his great-great-uncle). In recent years, Francesco began working with his son and disciple, Carlo Zanin (b. 1985); see them portrayed together in the last photo.
