‘Dog Tail Soup’ is an eclectic and flavorful musical stew made by carefully simmering Camilla Griehsel (Swedish World Music diva) with Maurice Seezer (Twice Golden Globe nominated Film Music composer). Adding a pinch of Paul Tiernan (International troubadour, pillar of West Cork’s favourite band, Interference), a sprinkling of Anthony Noonan (drummer for Roy Harper with extra dulcet tones), a cupful of John Fitzgerald (bass and all known instruments… last seen touring with Gilbert O’Sullivan) and of course the occasional splash of James O’Leary (co-founder of Interference on electric guitar). Dog Tail Soup was formed by Colin Vearncombe, Fergus O'Farrell, and Camilla Griehsel in the mid 2000's as an alternative vehicle to their regular outfit the Irish band interference. The idea being that each would take turns on lead vocals singing one of their own compositions from their own repertoire. They were quickly joined by other interference players, Maurice Seezer, Paul Tiernan, John Fitzgerald and Anthony Noonan to complete the line up. They have created their own niche in the very active music scene in their native West Cork, Ireland and have a very loyal following. They released one album in 2008 called simply 'Dog Tail Soup : Rough'. Dog Tail Soup are regularly joined by the remaining interference players, Bertrand Galen, Marja Gaynor, Glen Hansard, James O'Leary and Maurice Culligan and by a number of fellow West Cork Musicians and singers.
