Ingo Ito started his musical career as a sound engineer at the Hansa by the Wall studios in Berlin, where such outstanding records were done like David Bowie´s "Heroes" or U2´s "Achtung Baby". During the 80s he worked as a session guitarist/producer in Berlin, composed (among others) music for the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea and co-founded the alternative pop band Bamboo Industry as their guitarist/singer. In 1989 he joined the german synth-band Camouflage and for the following 6 years worked with them on albums, singles and concerts. In 1994 he founded the alternative ambient pop band Rain On Bamboo, composed + produced their 2 albums, also singing and playing guitar. After these productions he concentrated on solo work for ambient music and did several soundtracks for art exhibitions in London, Berlin and Hamburg as well as for audio book releases. For some time past, Ingo Ito has been living in Spain and has recently started to work on new projects, of which Zen Hanami summarizes his many years of experience in the field of ambient music. He works mainly with electronically treated guitar sounds. Performer of ambient soundscapes as a live-looping artist. Music installations for art-exhibitions in London, Hamburg, Berlin. Founder of Bamboo Industry Contributions to releases by Camouflage (studio+live), Gabriel Le Mar, Thomas Fehlmann, Inga & Anete Humpe.
