Robert P. Wetherald

Session supervisor, music director, and label executive who worked for Victor Talking Machine Co., and subsequently RCA Victor Company, Inc. and Radio Corporation Of America from the late 1910s until his retirement in 1959. During his employment he held various positions, including positions in record sales and production. In the 1930s and 1940s he was in charge of specialty recordings, where he worked on records outside of the regular classical and popular music fields of the time, including juvenile and educational recordings, folk and traditional music, and the black label album series.
