Adelaide band active from 1997 until around 2001. Originally called Nigredos for their first gig on 06/11/1999, the band changed their name to Shed in time for their second gig on 03/06/2000. The band (in)famously changed their name mid-gig from Shed to Spencer on 21/01/2001 at the Gilbert Hotel, Adelaide when a neighbour of the pub (called Spencer) wandered over mid-song to complain about the noise from the band. After the band's first set (as Shed), Lead singer Tony announced from the stage that the group would be known from here on in as Spencer as a 'tribute' to the interloper.
