Zuzana Paulechova

Slovakian classical pianist that studied at the Conservatory and Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava with E. Pappová, J. Pospíšil, P. Toperczer, M. Mayor, M. Lapšanský and I. Černecká. She has participated in several domestic and international interpretation courses, festivals and competitions (Belgium, Ireland, France, Hungary, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Spain). The most important awards include the following: 1st place - International Piano Competition Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte in the Czech Republic (1976), Competition of Slovak Conservatories in Piano (1979) and Chamber Music (1980), Slovakia Interpretation Competition in Chamber Music (1984) ) and piano (1988), 2nd place - R. Schumann International Piano Competition in Zwickau, Germany (1985), 3rd place - F. Chopin Competition in Marianske Lazne, Czech Republic (1979), 4th place - International Competition Incontro Internazionale Giovanni Pianisti Citta di Senigallia in Italy (1980). In 1984 she won a special prize for the best interpretation of Spanish music at the Paloma O´Shea International Competition in Santander, Spain.
