Marfa is a Portuguese political folk rock group formed in 2013 by Pedro Penilo on vocals, Tiago Santos on guitar and Rui Alves on drums, they are occasionally joined by others musicians such as José Moz Carrapa and Susana Moody. The group name is taken from the movie "The General Line" by Russian filmmaker Sergei Eisenstein, Marfa is the name of the peasant girl who tries to form a cooperative.
