A graduate of Alcântara Machado College of Arts (FAAM/FMU) in Bass Guitar Performance and former student of Brazil’s traditional music school Centro de Estudos Musicais Tom Jobim, Zebu studied with several well-known Brazilian musicians such as Itamar Collaço, Zéli Silva, Giba Pinto, Ximba Uchyama, Sergio Gomes and Sidney Molina. Since 2003 working as an Instrumentalist, Arranger, Composer, Artistic Producer and Musical Director, Zebu has worked with national and international musicians and artists, such as the Luther College Jazz Orchestra, the renowned British theatre group Kneehigh Theatre (acting also as a guitarist and cellist), Gabriela Nader (contestant of Brazil’s famous TV music show “Fama”), Meninos do Morumbi Choir and Percussion Group, Maestro Marcello Amalfi, Big Band Canella (acting also as Composer, Arranger and Substitute Conductor), Brit Pop Choir, Demma K, Tiê Alves, Coro de Cabra, Comparsas do Nogueira, Klaus Ximenes, Miro Dottori, among many others. His work as a musician has been featured and highlighted in several Brazilian magazines, TV shows, radio stations and websites, besides the North American Bass Musician Magazine, Portuguese websites Palco Principal, Triplo V and Gazeta de Viseu newspaper and Swiss Honda Centre website. One of his songs - "Valsa de silêncios” - was classified for national song festivals, included on the guitar method “Violão fácil” vol.II (“Easy Guitar – vol.II”, by Peter Dietrich) an released in albums and single, having more than 20.000 streams on Spotify only. He's also responsible for the review of the book “Jazz - Harmonia & Improvisação” (“Jazz - Harmony & Improvisation”, by I.Barasnevicius) for Guitar Clinic website and performed as a regular musician at "Produzindo Música com Demma K" TV Show, broadcasted worldwide by TV Cia. da Música. Zebu’s recordings covers TV and theatre soundtracks, among singles, CDs, DVDs and video clips for Brazilian musicians and artists, with physical and digital copies released worldwide. His profile on the website"Bandas de Garagem" received the highest rank for musical quality, and in July 2009 was one of the #03 most accessed MPB artists at Portuguese website Palco Principal. During 2010, he had a music column entitled Profissão: Músico (?) [Profession: Musician (?)] at Brazilian bass-dedicated website Baixista.com.br. Currently, Zebu lives in Portugal, working as Music Instructor and recording musician while preparing his debut as a solo artist.
