Don Johnson (32)

Fiddle player, born in Tracy, Minnesota on September 19, 1931 and died July 8, 2010 in Tucson, Arizona. Johnson began playing fiddle in the late 1940s and was the winner of the 1956 National Old Time Fiddlers' Contest. He was a longtime resident of Tucson, where he worked as a barber and played with area bluegrass, Western swing and country bands including the Arizona Mountaineers, Dean Armstrong and The Arizona Dance Hands, The Titan Valley Warheads, and Bluegrass from Heaven. Also known as Don "Horsefly" Johnson.
