Ceciliaensemblen

Swedish classical ensemble formed, with the Gothenburg College of Music as its center, in the autumn of 1971 by six Gothenburg musicians: Gunnar Forshufvud, Paul Wåhlberg, Sture Carlund, Cecilia Wåhlberg, Anders Moberg (2) and Torgerd Mårtensson. This chamber music group aimed to perform both profane and sacred music, from early baroque to the present. Over the years, the group has managed a large number of concerts, i.a. on tours around the Nordics, as well as participated in radio recordings in Norway and Denmark. The ensemble originally gathered around one of Bach's solo cantatas, and has since become especially interested in Bach cantatas; most performed in collaboration with Härlanda Kyrkas Kantatkör and Rune Wåhlberg.
